UNITED NATIONS PARTICIPATION IN THE WAR
Of
the fifty-three nations that that endorsed the United Nations decision to take
action in Korea against the Communist aggressors, only sixteen provided combat
elements. Another five provided medical units in support of the United Nations
forces. The Republic of Korea was not a member of the United Nations but has
been included to complete the Allied force. Additionally,
offers of military and other assistance are included in
this page.
United Nations countries initially contributed the following armed forces as
