of khaki, with a wide 8mm stripe of navy blue on the left and a 8mm wide

Instituted |
By the Australian Government to fill the gap between the Australian Service
Medal of World War Two and the current Australia
Service Medal, which was instituted in 1991. The award was approved by
Queen Elizabeth II on 13th September 1988. |

Qualification |
It is awarded to all ranks of the Australian Defence Forces for service in
peacekeeping but non-warlike service in theatres of operation between the
end of the Second World War and 13th February 1975 for
which no other Australian medal has been awarded. |
